IZMIR, TÜRKİYE - AUG. 19: The ancient city of Ephesus in Türkiye, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, comes alive on summer nights as its historic ruins are illuminated, providing visitors with a stunning view of its well-preserved ruins and a captivating journey into its historic splendor.Ephesus, previously an ancient Greek city, and later a major Roman settlement near present-day Selcuk in the coastal Izmir province, boasts a rich cultural heritage dating back to 6,500 BC.The unique beauties of the ancient city, which attracts millions of visitors every year, can be seen after sunset as of April 9 with the 'Night Museology' system that was put into practice by the country's Ministry of Culture and Tourism.The ancient city was illuminated with LED lighting system to allow tourists, who prefer the beaches during the day due to high temperatures, to visit the museums in the cool hours of the evening.The world-renowned ancient city of Ephesus is home to an over 2,300-year-old theater, which has a seating capacity of approximately 24,000 people.Ephesus was added to UNESCO’s prestigious World Heritage List in 2015.
