Beijing hosts first-ever humanoid robot games with football, boxing, running events
BEIJING, CHINA - AUG. 15, 2025: The World Humanoid Robot Games (WHRG), billed as the world’s first competition of its kind, kicked off Friday, Aug. 15, in Beijing.The event drew participants and spectators from robotics companies, universities, hobbyist clubs, and technology enthusiasts.Opening day events included running contests, 3v3 and 5v5 football matches, and robot boxing bouts.The games will run through Aug. 17.
