Berlin’s Grunewald forest fire triggered by explosion at a bomb disposal site
BERLIN, GERMANY - AUGUST 04: A huge smoke rises after a fire in Berlin’s Grunewald forest triggered by an explosion at a bomb disposal site in Berlin, Germany on August 04, 2022. Berlin’s fire department said more than 100 firefighters are at the scene, and additional units have been requested. German armed forces, the Bundeswehr, were asked to send armored vehicles to help battle the challenging fire. The flames have so far affected two hectares (5 acres) of the forest, but has not reached houses or businesses, according to the fire department.
