NEW DELHI, INDIA - MAY 15: The chemical waste water flowing into a river in the Indian capital city of New Delhi pollutes the river and nature, and also causes the death of water creatures.On Saturday, May 14, just before the World Climate Change Day, It was observed that industrial waste and sewage waters flew into the Yamuna River in an uncontrolled manner without purification process.As a tributary of the Ganga River, the Yamuna is culturally and economically critical.The river is a very important source of water for 57 million people, mainly people in the Delhi region.In addition to its religious-cultural importance; farmers, fishermen and boatmen who provide transportation services make their living from this river.The river is endangered by pollution, urbanization, excessive water use and climate change.Moreover, for all these reasons the river ranks among the most polluted rivers both in India and in the world.
