Gazan journalist Mohammad Jahjouh and his family members killed in Israeli attack
GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - MAY 16: On the 223rd day of the Israel’s brutal war artillery and airstrikes have resulted in the deaths of dozens of civilians and left many others injured across various areas of the Gaza Strip on Thursday (May 16).In Gaza City, medical sources have reported that more than 30 civilians have been killed. Among the dead are ten children, as Israeli warplanes targeted the al-Ghafri, Jahjouh, and al-Dalu families in the Abu Iskander, al-Sidra, and al-Sahaba Street areas, accrding to WAFA news agency.In Rafah, at least four people were killed, and several others were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house in the southern part of the city. Additionally, a civilian was killed, and others were wounded in a bombing that targeted the Al-Awda Roundabout area in the city center, while occupation artillery continued to bombard Khirbet Al-Adas and the Al-Geneina neighborhood in the east of the city.Simultaneously, journalist Mohammad Jahjouh and several members of his family were killed due to an Israeli bombing targeting their house in the northern Gaza Strip.Intense air raids by occupation warplanes have led to the complete destruction of a residential neighborhood on al-Hoja Street in the Jabalia refugee camp. At least five people were wounded in an Israeli drone strike that targeted Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Kindergarten in the Al-Faluga area.The death toll since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7th, 2023, has now risen to 35,233, with approximately 79,141 individuals wounded.Writing by Sibel Uygun
