RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL, AUGUST 08: Indigenous people of various ethnicities meet on the occasion of the International Day of Indigenous Peoples, at Aldeia Maracana, north of the Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on August 08, 2022. Millions of native peoples who had their own culture, customs and beliefs, live in Brazil and it is estimated that the indigenous population in 1500 was approximately 3 million inhabitants, divided among a thousand different peoples but now there are around 850,000 indigenous people in Brazil, divided into more than 200 ethnic groups, who keep the culture and traditions of their ancestors alive.
