Mevlana Rumi museum in central Türkiye captured by FPV drone
KONYA, TÜRKİYE - DECEMBER 07: Mevlana Rumi Museum, which is visited by an average of over one million domestic and foreign tourists annually, is shot recently by an FPV drone.This year marks the 749th anniversary of the passing of Rumi.Tens of thousands of people from across the world are expected to visit the museum and attend the Seb-i Arus commemoration ceremony, or the Wedding Night in reference to Rumi’s passing he viewed as the day when he reunited with his beloved God.Located in central Türkiye, the museum is dedicated to the 13th-century Muslim mystic poet Mevlana Jalaluddin al-Rumi.This magnificent structure includes many sections such as outdoors, Dervish Cells, Kitchen, Yard, Mosque, Library, Chant Room, Water-tank with a fountain, Semahane and Cerag Door.The Kubbe-i Hadra (Green Dome) where Mevlana is buried is the most eye-catching part of the museum.The tomb of Mevlana Rumi built after his death on December 17, 1273, continues to be the center of attention.The section where the sarcophagus of Mevlana is located consists of hand-drawn ornaments, embroidery, embellishment, and calligraphy.On the marble sarcophagus built by Suleyman the Magnificent, there are calligraphy ornaments, Ayatul Kursi, the names of the prophets, and a quilt with the Surah Al-Fatihah woven from gold and silk.Today, Rumi’s words of wisdom revolving around respect, intimacy, tolerance and love still guide and influence people of all colors, nationalities and religions.His popularity has grown in the West and the East with millions quoting him on numerous issues.
