Tabare Vazquez leaves the presidency of Uruguay

The voters of the left party, greeted the president of Uruguay, Tabare Vazquez, who leaves the presidency on the 1st March, and between applause and much emotion showed him his gratitude for his 2 terms as president (2005-2010 and 2015-2020). After having ruled since 2004 and despite having more than 40% of the votes in the elections held in October, the Frente Amplio lost the elections in the November ballot by 30,000 votes to the coalition of conservative parties that allied with the military ultra right. The farewell was carried out in La Teja, a working-class neighborhood that saw him born and grow.
