Turkiye's Salt Lake turns into pink
ANKARA, TURKIYE - AUGUST 03: An aerial view of Lake Salt turns into pink due to overgrowth of halo bacteria in Ankara, Turkiye on August 03, 2022. Lake Salt, which meets 70 percent of Turkiye's salt needs, is on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List with its unique natural structure. Algae in the lake protects itself from the harmful effects of sun rays by producing red colored beta-carotene during the summer periods when the temperature and salinity increase. Lake Salt is hot spot for local and foreign tourists every year.
